Hey
I'm having a nightmare of a bank holiday weekend guys. I came back from dinner on Friday afternoon to find my pc has turned itself off. When i tried to turn it back on it would power up for less than a second and then power back down. It would then cycle through trying to power up every 10 seconds or so but fail right away. Almost like some sort of error protection from the PSU end.
I tried another PSU (new) and it has the same issue.
I've also tried;
Removing the cmos battery
trying all 4 ram sticks across all 8 dimm slots 1 at a time.
remove the cooler and put it back on incase it was a pressure issue on the cooler.
removed the cables from the case to the mb and using the power button directly on the mb.
connected the psu to a diffrent power socket in the house in case the socket itself is faulty.
everything is removed at this point from the mb apart from the psu, cooler and 1 ram stick.
Any advice would be welcomed. Am I best at this point thinking of replacing the mb and if so what is a good replacement for a 6850k.
Thanks for looking,
Mark
