OK, this is a long shot as I cannot even tell you who it is exactly that I want a video clip of.
Nor can I tell you the year or the circuit or even exactly what happened.

I am however 95% sure it is either Senna or Prost.
It's basically a "masterclass" in how to start a long way down the grid and be leading by the end of the first lap.
I believe it is either Senna or Prost and they are either a long way down the grid or maybe even at the back.
The race starts and then we see the skill...overtake after overtake, perfect positioning at every corner until the said driver is leading the race by the end of the first lap.

This alas is all I can tell you about the clip.
My late father was a massive F1 fan and I remember him showing me this sequence and describing it as one of the best pieces of driving ever.
I've tried to describe it to friends here at work but a picture tells a thousands words and a video clip...

If anyone knows any more information on this or actually has the clip could they let me know as I'd love to get my hands on it again.

The usual one folk talk about is Donington 93, Senna was 4th but got jumped at the start before proceeding to pass everyone before the end of the lap. All of this in torrential rain too.

Come to think of it. That'd probably be it. Not sure where I plucked out Monaco. Maybe the videos of pole position times he did. Still impressive even though there is no overtaking!

edit: Donnington Vid: Senna '93

That's the one - great, thank you.

I hadn't realised it was at Donington Park.
My dad always described that as a lovely circuit and a "Bloody Travesty" when they stopped using it.

Wasn't 93 the only F1 race ever at donnington?

Yes, however it was given an award for the best organised race of the year. On the back of that Bernie offered Tom Wheatcroft a long term contract to run GPs there but Tom turned it down because he reckoned he'd make a loss of between two and four million quid per year.

Probably thinking of Schumacher at Monaco *I think*
Schumacher started 16th at Spa in 95, and came through to win in the wet. Don't remember him doing anything of the sort at Monaco though.
