Seeking RPG to play (not wow)

The ones you mentioned are MMORPG's, would a single player be more to your liking?

If so how about Oblivion, that's if your system can handle it! :p If not try its predecessor Morrowind.

Or if you want to go really old school you can't beat Fallout 2.

:)

I have oblivion and tried it, but i got bored within 10mins and switched it off. I might reinstall and give it another go i suppose. After all it takes a good hour or so b4 you can judge any game, and i suppose in RPG terms a good week :P

thanks for the link to mmorpg.com. Im gona give oblivion another go :)

Oblivion didn't get going for me until i'd done a few bits of the main quest and picked up a few random other quests that sent me here and there, then you start to see the scale of the game and the freedom to do what you want and go where you want.

I wanted to try cabal, however :( ...

...after i downloaded it the first time nod32 got it as a virus. So redownloaded it disabling nod32 and then when i went to launch it a got an error. Cant remember exactly what it said but something like "cabal.exe" missing or something. The game still installed but then i couldnt run it as there was no main exe ^^ any ideas?

I hate to even bring it up incase you decide that you want to play it, but steer VERY VERY clear of RF Online - it is pure and utter crap.

Just started saga of ryzom, seems pretty good so far.

agree with zefan: IMO Rf online is the worst game ever and I mean ever some of the 99p titles you got on the comadore where better.

But then I havent really found a MMORPG I realy love yet. SWG was really good. But still they all become boring after a while, Because at the end of *** day you just click a button. I'm just hopping Tabula rasa will be good as thats FPS

from the Cabal forums

NOD32 Error:
what to do when you have NOD32

If you have NOD32 Antivirus program. Here's what to do, go to your NOD32 Control Center and under AMON, disable "File System Monitor (AMON)"
(thanks Rokkis)

Cabal.exe is not a vilid Win32 file!

You can fix this problem by reinstalling the game and copying Cabal.exe to somewhere safe. Then start Cabal. When that error occurs you just copy the safe Cabal.exe on that which was corrupted. After that you can play Cabal

1.After the installation dont run Cabal imediately but copy Cabal.exe for example to desktop.
2.Run Cabal.exe from your install directory
3.After that when update flash up and Cabal.exe will have Windows icon (and when you click it say something about Win32 error).Copy from desktop Cabal.exe to your installation folder (like copying a crack)
4.You can enjoy your game.
