I recovered a load of files from my flatmates computer lastnight after she accidentaly formated and re-installed windows.
No some of the documents open fine, and some are obviously just nothing.
What i am having problem with, is after re-installing Office XP, a lot of the word documents come up with some sort of "file conversion" window stating "Select the encoding that makes your document readable"
It gives em a list of options Windows default, MS-DOS, Other with a long list to select from.
Below that is a preveiw window which just shows a bunch of code.
What do i need to select to view the documents properly?
