I have a Corsair ax1200i and i've misplaced the cable that connects the mains to the PSU. I need a new cable.

The problem is that I don't know what fuse I am looking for in a replacement cable. The PSU is 1200 watts.

[pedant]A kettle lead is something else and had a notch in the connector, you need a normal IEC C13 type :) Although the C15 is used on some high power computing parts[/pedant]

It's the cable size that matters not the fuse. C13 cables a are commonly 5A or 10A. 5A is cutting things a bit close if the PSU ever gets fully loaded. If you've got a 10A cable there's no point down fusing as the fuse is there to protect the cable not the attached device. Even buying a 7A fuse would be tricky.

the max wattage that can be pulled from the mains is 3000w

230volts X 13amps =2990watts.

13amp fuse is the largest you will find in household appliances.

also doesnt it tell you on the kettle plug the fuse rating?
