Any body a self-employed accountant or been in the same situation as below?

Worked for a company in the 2019/2020 tax year, invoiced in the same year, pay due date was suppose to be before 5th April.
Long story short I had to write off 60% of the invoice value and was eventually paid the remaining this tax year. Is this a write off against tax owed, if so how so and what tax year?

Also I claimed JSA for a couple of weeks 2019/2020 tax year. Ticked the box about receiving state benefit, later on when it asks for the amount the linked description and wording is about state pension, is this just a wording oversight on their part?
