Hey guys,

Looking to get my son a new PC for xmas, and was originally looking at a self build, but then saw the email with this package:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-326-OE&groupid=43&catid=2385&subcat=1892

Now, there seems to be a typo, but I *think* its the i5 processor, as per the headline rather than the i7 shown in the full spec

My question is, can this spec be beaten for the money, or if you were speccing parts separately is there a better combination that will offer more performance for the same cash? On the face of it it looks like a very good deal (and means I wont be spending xmas morning building a PC lol)

Useage will be as a games machine first and foremost

It doesn't come with a graphics card does it? It's an extra £200 and you can only get the 7950. I would personally say to self build

Edit: Wait, that's a crossfire option. It also says i7 in the description? That changes everything, go for the OCUK build.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking! It doesn't seem any cheaper to self build!

It will suit his need apart from the graphics card, 1gb is not enough these days! On the toilet haha ill spec you one more in a second hehe.

why 2 cpus? :p

Accidently had one in my basket already hehe.

Yeah, good point on the D3H - didn't notice I'd hit the wrong board, cheers ! :p

either way, whichever spec you go for your son will be absolutely over the moon with his Christmas present mate!

Hey thanks - this looks a great spec! Noted the comment about the board version.

He's not too spoilt - I'm putting £200 towards it and he's saved the rest up himself :)

2 3570K's? Who needs that?

It will, no doubt about it - however everyone has a spare HDD lying around these days, hell I'll even send OP some HDDs. He could pick up a hdd for ~£50 by the time thats filled up.
