Self Build Virgin Take 3

Arctic Silver 5 and MX-3 are usually the most talked about on these forums, think either will do just fine.

Is it just a mistake or are you ordering 2 Antec 902 cases?? other than that looks like a solid setup

Can I ask why you are going to the GIGABYTE GA-EX-UD3R motherboard??

Oops - the two cases are a mistake.

I chose the UD3 over the UD5 because I couldn't see anything that suggested I should spend the extra £ 50 odd quid. TBH I don't know enough about this to make an informed choice.

The only difference I could see between the two was that the UD5 supported more RAM

Is there something I'm missing there mate?

Cheers

No was just curious because i'm after a "budget" X58 board but am a bit lost as to which to go for. I dont need 12gb RAM.

UD3R looks good, but the ASUS P6T SE and Foxconn Bloodrage GTi are all in the similar price range. I'm gona try doing some mild overclocking and would def. consider a more expensive board if it means overclocking is easier.

At the moment i'm leaning towards the Foxconn board because for SLI / Xfire the UD3R and Asus P6T SE PCI slots are very close together meaning it'll get pretty toasty in there. Any suggestions?

I've seen videos on YouTube of 5850s crossfire'd on a P6T in an Antec 900, and they seemed to fit pretty nicely - I wouldn't worry about it as all high-end gaming boards are designed to accommodate two or more big cards.
