So i was looking to build a good gaming pc for under £500.. but after looking into it more i found i would need to spend more!
By the way i dont know that much about all these components and need to know if all the components i have are compatable and OK.

i5-2500k
GTX 560
corsair 8gb ram
ASUS P8Z77-V LX NEW Z77 Chipset
Samsung optical drive
Powercool 650W Modular PSU 80+ Dual 12V V2.2 High Efficiency
Zalman Z11
Gigabyte M6800 Optical Gaming Mouse
Emprex 5105GU Gaming Keyboard

Also near forgot i also need a Hard Drive,, can yous please recommend a cheap 1/2tb HDD!! :D

Also please tell me if there are any cheaper parts i should buy instead.. or anything i should spend more on to make it better! Thanks!

That's a great spec.

Just beware, as was said, the only things that aren't on offer (in this spec) are the motherboard and CPU, so the prices of all the other epice will change tomorrow.

No i do not need an operating system..
and i have to get a Hard drive with it!
Also im not sure not to go for the GTX 560.. or the 6850.. i know my friend had the 6850 and said its works fine, but i was thinking the GTX 560 will last longer, performance wise!

And is it worth it going for a dear mouse and keyboard!

Soo yeah this is practically the setup i have decided on now!
Just want to make sure the 500w is ok.. and will do instead of the 650w i had before!
And i want to know about wether to buy a dear gaming keyboard and mouse, or cheap ones

Is there a significant difference ?

The 560 isn't very good to be honest. You'd need to look at the 560Ti.....the Ti makes all the difference ;)

The 6850 is good and the cheapest, in my opinion the 460 is next best but more expensive. The 460s come heavily overclocked already and are cheaper and will perform on par if not better than the 560.

If you want the GPU purchase to last, you might want to consider looking at 2GB GPUs, they are more expensive however :( Games are definately breaking the 1GB barrier now. You can certainly get by on a 1GB GPU, I have a 460 and it still holds up well.

500W is minimum but it's a good price for the modular unit. The 600W version is £65 if you want some more headroom. You wont really need more than 600W for a single GPU setup bud

Yeah i think that graphics card is abit too steep..
and is the difference in the i3 and i5 much?
Because theres a big difference in price, and so if there is no need for the i5, then i may go for the i3 and then for a better graphics card

Sandybridge i5K vs i3 2100

The i5K is better and can be overclocked. I dropped to the i3 as it's still a great bang for buck CPU. The money saved i put into the GPU, the 7850 is cheaper, it has 2GB of VRAM and they OC well. I used the 7870 earlier as it was a bargain price for the GPU.

I think i will just go with the MSI 6850, as its cheaper, and im not 100% fussed on the graphics being perfect.. and having highest settings on every game.. and i am mainly a console gamer!
and then i may stick with the i5k as i think it'l last me longer

Not a bad idea at all. The 6850 is on par with the 460. You get a couple of extras on the nvidia card but for £80ish you cant grumble at the AMD 6850. The Z77 mobo can use the IGP to boost the 6850 and you could consider overclocking the GPU too.

The 6850 is going to be much better than what any current console can do :D

Yes thanks.. i think thats what il go for.. now just i need to know is it worth buying a more expensive keyboard and mouse!
And the ones i choose were cheap.. and i didnt look into them at all :/
So probably were not much good at all

Most keyboards are pretty much the same between the 20-60 range, its in the higher end where you find mechanical keyboards, If you can get a mechanical one for sub £40 then get it, they are fantastic.

Soo now i have to wait until tomorrow to order this stuff!
And so discounts will change.. hopefully it will go in my favour :l

And i wouldnt need to install any additional fans with this setup? Would I?

That's the best I could do and keep the i5K. You could drop to the non modular OCZ 550W PSU and save £10. It's worth the extra from £550 but if that's your absolute limit you'll have to make some sacrifices
