hey all,

I have a load of files that i need to out on a several sales rep's laptop's.

thing is they really don't have a clue about anything to do computers. (tbh I'm amazed that they manage to turn it on every morning)

They also don't have a VPN connection so i can't map and drop them in my self and they only use Webmail.

So, i need to email them something (maybe a self extracting .zip file) that will dump all these files in the needed location.

any ideas??

note; this is corporate environment so can't use any demo's or anything like that.

start, run

iexpress

if you can't send exe's over email, then zip it first and get them to open the zip and run the exe

cheers bledd,

I've had a play with iexpress, but that still leaves me with the problem that the user has to save the attachment, run the .exe and choose the path for file to be saved.

I need to cut this down to, save the attachment, double click it. job done.

any ideas?

unless you allow exe's to be sent in emails (could be dangerous for noobs) then i don't know a way

unless you put it on a website (the exe) and email them a link, you could post screenshots for them

not that's a bad idea.

upload load it somewhere and then download and run.

(why didn't i think of that?)
cheers.
