plus you would have to put antifreeze in anyway.

What about countries where it doesn't rain as often as you use the water.

No I have not mentioned it in this exact thread. Despite the fact I have a ROVER Mini Cooper and my sig also confirms this. Just LOL.![]()

Oh Blackhawk...
On topic.
I find that if I run out of washer fluid I tend to carry out the following:
1. Persevere until I get home and fill it there.
Or
2. Stop at a garage and pick up some screen wash and water it down using their water line.
Running out of screen wash isn't the end of the world, but in honesty, if you check your oil every 10-14 days then surely check the levels of your other fluids and coolants too.
Am I wrong in thinking that this is basic car maintenance that everyone with a driving license should be able to carry out?

3. Hang out the window with water bottle![]()
sounds like a great idea until someone pours cement powder , egg , glue etc into it
it could be the new way to key someones car

That is the exact situation i would hope this self filling system would prevent!
1) Average joe does not check fluids on a regular basis
2) most cars do not have a low washer fluid indicator
3) It always runs out when you most need it!
I dont understand why its such a bad idea? so what if it only takes 1 minute to fill it! Ive never had a problem recognizing that its raining and turning on my windscreen wipers but automatic ones are becoming the norm arent they?
Its not hard to turn my headlights on when it gets dark but automatic ones are becoming more common place!
Its not a matter of whether the washer is easy to fill up or not!
Oh Blackhawk...

I don't have sigs enabled![]()

Thanks for all the negative responses guys! You have obviously never run out of screen wash on the motorway in the middle of winter and had difficulty seeing where you were going!
Oh and there are millions of intentions in the world we could do without but we all seem to buy them! Or am I wrong?
