I am currently using the free WordPress option to host a blog. I have a domain name I would like to link to the blog but rather than pay the premium WP account I could easily self host it. The thing is is I like the way I can use the 'Reader' section and have all the pro's of being part of the WordPress community, followers and stats and like etc.
If I host the site myself will I loose all of the ability of the WP community? Or is there a way to still be part of the community and keep the 'Reader' section and attract followers and readers?
