my screen goes off after a second in bios and pc goes blank screen in OS..

i even put it in an old pc the 57701gb still dosent work..so i put in my Nvidia 512mb geforce card and still same probs

i put this in here, as i didn't know where it should go for help!

after 2-3 seconds in bios it keeps on booting up as normal with out me pressing anything...really weird..it was working this morning..now when i turn it on it runs as normal then when it goes in os it just goes to a blank screen..but the pc is still running.

ok i stuck my 5770 back in and still no good....yes things does seem to boat up as normal but still no picture... it wont let me go in any mode..as it just goes to the option for safe mode then second later it keeps on booting up..

and i had this pc for over a year

how do i do that? sorry for the silly Qs but never did reset bios..

If you have the motherboard manual it should say how to reset bios.

Basically you have two main ways of resetting bios:

1) Short-circuiting the two pins by placing a jumper cap on them for 10-15 seconds or using a screw driver to touch them again for few seconds

2) Taking out the CMOS battery for about 1 minute and them placing it back in the motherboard. It looks like an oval shape or like a coin and you can see it clearly.

But you do those two methods after you have unplugged your PC from the mains ;).

ok i checked everything down to the monitor..it seems my HD 23inch philips monitor is the problem ... as i tryed it on my brothers XP machine and it would do the same on his pc..so its the screen
