In my line of work I can get windows 7 directly from microsoft cheaper than retail, but I have a tight budget and will not be buying it for another month or so, so I am thinking of using a linux OS.
PC specs will be, 8GB ram, i5 3570k, 500GB HDD.
As far as I know linux isn't great for games? I have a steam account and would like to play those games still and play a few old pc games,can they work on linux or do I have to wait until I get win7?
