Sell my 5770's?

Bought two http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-216-SP about 6months ago.
(I think it's the same one, got the same egg-shaped cooler

)
Was thinking of selling them and buying a second hand 5850? Will the 5850 have a performance increase over the crossfire 5770's? That is after they have been overclocked ofc.

twin 5770 can match a single 5870, so unless your experiencing crossfire issues, don't bother.

Yea, crossfire 5770s is a very fast configuration, so long as the crossfire is working well. Out of interest, what motherboard are you using?

Ah, ofcourse. In that case the crossfireX will be running at full speed (x16 for each card) so your graphics setup will be as fast a 5870. If you went for a 5850 they you would feel a small performance loss. Are you happy with the performance of your two 5770s?

yes, 2 5770s deliver approximately equal performance to a single 5870 in most scenarios. not all software supports CF/SLI though, so it depends what application is being used. Also, an OC'd 5870 is supposed to be better than 2 5770s.

Obviously, it varies from game-to-game as some can utilise multi-gpu systems better than others. But as a rule, 5770CF is usually about as fast as a 5870 while always being a good chunk faster than a single 5850.

Havn't got an OS on my HDD, or any memory for my rig atm so can't test them

Was only asking because I've seen some cheap 5850's for sale and thought I might get better performance than 5770x2
