So now im planning to sell my 360 2 controllers and 4 games through lack of use...
I used to play forza 2 all the time, finished halo3, GoW, and vagas and dont feel like playing any time soon.
There is Fable 2 coming up but not sure if i want to keep my 360 just for one game when i can sell it for cash now.

Now i was also thinking of getting the PS3 ready for GT5 when ever its going to come out and other games, also it will support the G25 and the 911 wheel :)

Then comes the option of wether to get it in japan or england... its a tad cheaper in japan, but the one problem will be no blu ray compat here and having to use a high wattage Transformer.
I'm japanese so language or returns wont be much of a problem...

so.. whats your opinion on what i should do....

Thanks

If you buy a jap console you wont have to worry about usig a power converter thingy all you need to do is use a uk kettle lead. As for blu-rays a lot are region coded especily new films. All games are region free though

It supports this G25 wheel and some other wheels (I see them in the options screens for GT5:Prologue).

If you buy it in Japan, I would get a copy of GT5:P to tide you over until GT5 full is released.

In all honesty though I would not buy either console for 1 game (be that keeping your 360 for Fable 2 or getting the PS3 for GT5).

Blu-Ray, DVD, PS1 games etc will only work if you have the correct Japanese region/versions.

Having said that I reckon more than 50% of commercially released Blu-rays are region free anyway.

what about noise issues? How loud is the PS3 in comparison to the 360?

Is streaming of content easier with the PS3 aswell?

You don't want to keep your 360 for just one game, but you're willing to buy another console for just one game?

There are loads of other games on the 360 that must interest you, and loads more on their way. If you are 100% set then don't worry, otherwise look at the 2008 lineup for both consoles and decide based on which games interest you more.

thanks,
Im quite fond of my Driving sims .. i usually play LFS on the PC however from time to time i think i would prefer games with real cars rather than imitations. And thats why i bought the 360 for forza 2. i was going to get the FFB wheel for the 360 but it wasnt really good.. anyways im waiting for my new Fanatec 911 wheel to come from germany anytime ^^. that's also compat with the ps 3.

anyways. so the Japanese PS3s can take 240 volts?

well im also looking forward for big little planet too, but i really love my driving simulators :).

streaming stuff is about the same , definetly not easier but i wouldnt exactly say its harder

our ps3 is near silent

comparing it to the noise of a mordern laptop is probly a good example , silent most the time but audible when its gets hot

all the ps3s can take 240v yes

Do some PS3's sound different to others (in the same way as Xbox360s) because my first one was brilliant, but my second one seems quite loud at times. I thought I'd get used to it and I'm sure I will over time. Either way I'll put up with it.

Any PS3 i have heard has been extremely quiet (including mine) .....The 360 isn't even in the same League as the PS3 noise wise and thats coming from a Falcon/BenQ drive 360 owner! :D

Most Bluray discs work in any PS3, there are a handfull of films of best that wont work that you want to watch, at which point, you just import them like people do now anyway.
I've got a hong Kong PS3 and ive yet to find anything other than PS2 games and SD DVD's that wont work on it, but then i didnt buyit for that anyway so its irrelevant.

Yes, I was pretty paranoid about mine when I first got it and dug up a a lot of recordings and videos.

My PS3's fans do seem to come on after some time, even if I leave it idle doing nothing in the XMB and they don't really appear to turn off (not that I've noticed, or if it has I might've already been playing some music and just wasn't able to hear them turning off :p)

Even though that's the case, it is much quieter than my 360. Lets just say I don't have to use headphones at night if I wanna play a game on the ps3, unlike with the 360 headphones are required in order to not wake up my folks.

What is the price of the fanatec wheel.

Theres a world of difference between My 360 and PS3, The 360 sounds like a hair dryer and the PS3 makes a little bit more noise than my DVD player.

All 3 of the 360's have been stupidly loud to be fair.

My new Xbox360 is louder than my last, but my new PS3 sounds a lot louder than my first one, as a result my Xbox360 seems only slightly louder than my PS3 :(.
Wouldn't mind, I'm sure both my originals were quieter!
