Selling a bike

Where do you guys normally sell your unwanted bikes? Is eBay the best bet?

Got a couple of bikes that I want to move on so that I can use the funds to buy another, but want to to this the easiest/safest way possible! Shame there is no MM option for bike on here!

I've bought/sold off Facebook before, there's usually a localised group setup for bikes.

For example

Pink bike, Ebay and Facebook are the main 3 I check regularly.

If you plan on putting pictures up make sure there’s no location data in them and set your security settings on Facebook appropriately. Also, when meeting someone I’d advise meeting in a public place like a supermarket car park and not your house so they don’t know where your next potentially newer/more expensive bike is living!….

If you put it on Marketplace for example - 'Road Bike Trek £120 must collect from Stoke' then expect buyers to put "If you bring it to Glasgow I'll give you £50".
