Hi all,

I've found a copy of HL2 Collectors edition which I was going to throw in with a PC that I'm selling.

I don't think it is attached to my Steam account, but what happens if it turns out that it is? Will it just not install for the buyer? Will it let them use the Key and remove it from mine?

I've got two copies of this and I am fairly sure that this isn't attached to my steam, but my no means 100%

Thanks,

G

If it's not attached he'll be fine.

If it is attached, he won't be able to use it, bar going through a lengthy question and answer session with Steam support, in which case they might remove it from your account and give it to him.

Doesn't the Steam>Library>'View All' drop down menu show you all the games you have linked to your Steam? If so you can check there whether it's attached or not.

Doesn't let you know which CD-key you linked if you've got two retail boxes though. :o

I'd just give it to him, but tell him "Have a freebie, it might have already been activated. If so sorry, if not enjoy."
