right then, due to moving to a smaller place i no longer have room for 4 amps so i'm selling my amps off one at a time on ebay ( 1 Musical Fidelity X-P100 pre amp & 2 X-AS100 monoblocs and 1 X Can V2 headphone amp ).

anyway, ive had a query from a guy in HK about 1 off my monoblocs, he's got good feedback dating all the way back to 02 so i'm reasonabley sure he's not a scammer, or as sure as you can be about any one on the bay.

it never entered my head any one from so far away would be interested, but, he's offered to pay any and all shipping costs ( the quotes range from £100 - £246 fully insured ).

so i'm not averse to the idea but it's just the distance puts me off some what, i mean, suppose it turns up DOA cos it's been banged about in transit, or it gets lost etc. it's the aggro of having to sort it with the couriers etc...

monies money but i dunno what to do tbh.

any one shipped owt to HK before?, good idea, bad idea

Is it a particularly special amp? Is there a good reason why someone would be willing to source one from halfway round the world?

well back in 2000 when i got them they sat me back over £2500 so there a nice bit of kit, and this particular model was dropped from MF's line up ages ago so good ones are hard to source now. to put it into context there are 47 people watching it & theres still 8 days to go. actually shipping times gonna be about 5 - 7 days, and it's not going any where till the cash has hit my paypal account ( which'll be emptied pronto ). i'm just a little unsure of sending some thing so hefty such a long way.
