Selling an iPhone 3G

I’m looking at selling my iPhone 3G (on 02)

Apart from wiping such things as contacts, e-mails and music etc… and then resetting, is there anything else I would have to do so the new owner can use it as if it were new?

Would the phone still be linked to my iTunes account and therefore my payment details?

Would appreciate any help from someone who’s sold their iPhone.

I think all we need to do is do a full restore on iTunes and then not select the "Restore this iPhone from the backup XYZ" but chose the "this is a new iPhone" and obviously remove the SIM.

1. Sell iPhone
2. Do a full reset using iPhone (will take 2 hours)
3. Remove SIM
4. Delete backups from iTunes
5. Done

How can it possibly be hard, there are thousands of people who would be perfectly happy with the current 3G iPhone. The new one is practically the same device, only a computer enthusiast would see the advantages. I think they'll sell easily and retain high value.

Crazy. Id say wack it on an auction site, but ive been royally robbed with fees lately!

It's only when selling that the fees hurt, I'd buy from a genuine seller on ebay
