Hi,
I'm currently negotiating the possible sale of a domain name I hold. It's nothing particularly special, however it is short (4 letters dot com), is easy to remember and also a "sound-a-like".
Anyway, I've currently had an offer and I'm attempting to negotiate up to a figure around £10k - £12k. It may not happen, but I'd like to be prepared if it does.
It is a company I am dealing with, however with domain names it is all down to who is the owner - I'm sure they would be unwilling to just send an individual cash and hope I transfer the domain and likewise as soon as the domain is in their name nothing to stop them running off with it.
I'm assuming there is an Escrow service for domain names these days - anyone had an experience with this? Any ideas on the kinds of fees involved?
I'm currently holding out for £12k, so want to say "£12k plus Escrow fees" but I just want to be sure they are not out of this world high
Cheers.
