CCP do not like you selling your accounts/characters for cash.
But it can be done, just look at fleece bay.
But if you are caught, CCP will ban your account. As what happened to a friend I used to play with. But it can be done just be care full.

You can legally sell your character for GTCs (game time codes) officially and secuerly on the Eve forums.
Then sell the GTCs for ISK legally on the forums or if you want cash you will have to sort that out yourself via another medium or with mates etc.

It can be done if you do it right. Do your research.
I sold an item with a Eve free character for over £900. The item was the original Eve Online game CD.
7 years of paying a sub, but the last 2 were just pay and no play due to no spare time. I had a day one character though with a lot of SP and assets, isk etc.

A PVP character may sell better than an all rounder. But I have seen mission runners go for decent money too.
So..just sold the actual Eve game for €900, and the character associated with it was free? Cheeky!

A mate of mine did what Sleepery did (twice) and made well over £400 each time.
I have two 70m SP chars that I've always wanted to sell but never found the time/effort to do so 
The easiest way I was told is to sell auction the chars for isk then sell the isk to some random game site.
I would much rather just someone cashed me up though obviously!

It is also if people look at the right time. sometimes you get a lot sometimes not as much.
I did this with a SWG jedi account, BUT if they want to they can still do you for it.
Read EULA thing all of the stuff will legally be the companies, so you cant even sell your own account because its theirs... lol something like that... its utter BS.
