Selling Keys on eBay

Hi guys,

As above, I've got about £200's worth of my own unused game/software keys to get rid of on eBay but even as an established seller, I have my reservations...

My primary concern is since I'll be emailing the keys, saving on postage, what's to stop the unscrupulous buyer then turning round and saying that either the key didn't work/was already activated etc. I know from experience from buying things like Now TV codes that genuine mistakes can be made with typos but I have on occasion bought from sellers that have sent me used or expired codes. I know because the Now TV live chat tell you if you ask them nicely :D

As a result of the above I've then had to go through the rigmarole with eBay/Paypal in getting my money back. I'm guessing that is ultimately reclaimed from the buyer but this is hassle I don't need given the amount I intend to sell.

I'd be interested to hear some of your experiences/advice ;)

I believe that for these sort of things, they're normally sold with something, like a cheap and nasty biro, so that something is physically delivered and tracking can reflect that.

Seriously its not all that bad. Some people on there are fraudsters but many are not. Just set some feedback restrictions in place when you sell. Deliver them by mail if you are worried about tracking.

Or you could just keep them all and get no money..

I sold a few 1000 different things on ebay and of cause there a few bad buyers & sellers But it better then me just keeping all my stuff in the loft just collecting dust and losing value..

There is another option of selling them on key sites, never done it personally so not sure what it's like. Could just be like selling them on ebay.

I agree with folks above, perhaps members market is best, eBay is good if you set some rules with feedback etc. Let me know if you list them as I'm interested to see what you have but cannot access the MM yet

Does PayPal now cover non-physical items? I thought it was only an actual physical thing that it covered? It may have changed of course.

I have sold keys on eBay before and had no issues. There are people on all sites including here that screw you over, its just that ebay has a lot more people.

The majority would just like a cheap deal
