I have landed my hands on a copy of Visual Studio Professional 2005, fully shrink-wrapped and all legit (the result of a complaint I made about them closing theSpoke.net software download section after I had paid for access, I think they sent it to shut me up).

Anyway, it's the version without MSDN subscription, but it still weighs in at around £600. My question is, how do I offload this? I have no use for it at all, and don't want to resort to something like eBay and get hit with massive fees. I figured shifting this sort of software will be difficult because people will always get suspicious that someone is selling a brand new boxed copy of Visual Studio.

Can you sell it in the members market? I read the faq and it states you cant sell copied software but says nothing about not being able to sell legitimate software. Also you could probably ask for bank transfer only, that way no fees.

Or sell it at a car boot sale :P

What massive fees? I flog tons on eBay and have never noticed any of the fees to be excessive vs the convenience it offers. Problem is theres a ton of cheap academic copies of VS available (Pro version is £95 for new boxed copy) so you're not going to get much more than that really but mebbe if you push the fact yours isnt Academic you may get lucky?
