Ok so I've decided to sell my PS3.

How shall I go about making sure my PSN store account isn't linked to it?

Can you download demos from the PSN store with only creating a profile on the PS3, and am I able to transfer the games I've bought to some one else's PSN account or keep them on the PS3 without having my PSN store details on there.

Thanks.

I'm positive there's a format hard drive option that deletes literally everything, as if it was a freshly-bought PS3.

I don't know what you mean about the "Can you download demos from the PSN store with only creating a profile on the PS3" thing. Your console profile is your PSN account. You can't get anything off the PSN without it.

Whatever you've bought is tied to your account and you can't gift them to anyone else. That would mean you'd have to give the other dude your account which contains sensitive information. It's not worth it, and the person you're selling it to is going to have to go without all the downloaded content you've bought, unless you want to risk having your information out in the open.

create a new user and delete your current one, that will delete all your details and leave the demos/games for whoever is buying the ps3 off you.. if not, you can delete them manually or do a complete format

remember to de-activate your account in 'account management' if you decide to format

Sorry I meant User, and just download from demos without the store account with card details etc.

Under the Settings menu there is a System Settings heading, in there you will find a Format Hard Drive utility and Restore System Defaults. This takes out all the data on the console and all user accounts. Be sure to deactivate your account from the PS3 prior to using the Restore System Defaults feature.
