I have a PS4 and XB1 but really only ever play PC games. Im thinking about selling the xbox while its still worth something but will I miss out out anything to come? As I understand it the big games from MS this year are cross play anyways but is there anything else worth sticking around for? I havnt turned it on in 6 month so its a waste of space at the moment

I kind of thought that but Im thinking I dont want to miss anything to come. PS4 has been unplugged from the wall since that rapture game came out in January as well

Have you the PC, xbox one and PS4 all in the same room? Or is the PC in one room and the consoles in another room connected to a TV?

I currently have the PC in one room and the Xbox one in my sitting room connected to the TV. If I had xbox, pc and ps4 all in the same room, well, the consoles would not get used at all and I would just sell them on.

PC is upstairs in "my" room and the XB1 and PS4 are hooked up to the TV downstairs. I'm thinking the XB is going the distance as the PS4 version of anything I cant get on PC will be the better version anyway

There's also another fix for that, get a chair that supports your back better. I have no problems sitting in my Aeron for long periods of time.

Can understand, I recently after much waiting upgraded my gaming laptop to a high end gaming PC (laptop was a bit hit n miss so I used my console more) but the PC is just to be honest destroying anything the X1 and PS4 has mostly provided.

The PS4 is going to still come in handy for PlayStation exclusive titles, I thought the same for X1 until MS announced play anywhere, games I want the X1 for are now appearing on PC via Windows 10 store, so I'm also in two minds as to if the X1 is worthwhile any longer..

TBH I paid second hand prices for my X1 and I'd only lose about £50, but the older larger X1 are not almost worthless, so I might just keep it and try and find some use for it..

If MS hadn't announced the play anywhere then for sure the X1 would get use, but I'll still get to play the X1 exclusives no matter if its PC of X1 - sp best of everything?

Both of my consoles sit downstairs and mostly unloved atm. Since getting my UW monitor I hardly leave the office.

However my Gigabit Network has made streaming both consoles upstairs a mostly nice experience :)

Sell both and buy the Steam link or something similar. :)

Waiting for one of these to go back up in sale on Steam as I intend to buy one and stream games to my living room TV

Would still use the PC upstairs for most things like Racing games where I need my wheel, and FPS I play using keyboard and mouse but some of the gamepad friendly PC games, would be nice to sit on a comfy sofa and play them..

Sold mine earlier this year and havent missed it. Have the PS4 and PC combo which is plenty for me, hardly get time to play those lately either!

Pretty much had the xb1 for halo 5 which for me was a disappointment, and since then and going forwards theres not 1 exclusive i need, and like you say many if not all are coming to the pc too so the option would be there

Everyone goes through spells where their console gets no action.

+1

I never sell it as you can guarantee the minute you sell it a game will come out - most likely exclusive to that console - and you'll wish you could play it.

Been there, done that, got the Tshirt.

However, with these new 'upgraded' consoles coming out, the market is potentially going to be flooded with 2nd hand older model consoles so their value may decrease which is good news for buyers, bad news for sellers.
