Selling on Windows 7

Hi

I recently installed W7 Home Premium retail and need to sell it due to a large vets bill for one of are cats :/, i have a mate that's interested my question will he be able to use the code although i used it, i understand i would have to remove it from my pc and go back to vista.

Yes he would. It can only be installed on 1 computer at a time I think.

Entirely depends whether it is an OEM or Retail license.

If OEM, you'd need to sell him your whole PC.

If Retail, I believe you can uninstall it from your PC and transfer ownership to your friend.

The OP mentions it is a Retail copy, so there should be no issue with transfering it. There is a possibility your friend may need to activate over the phone. This takes all of 5 minutes and just involves typing in some numbers a robot reads back to you.

Yeh, he'd have to activate it over the phone, but it's a nice, friendly robot you get to speak to.

I managed to get a legit win 7 ultimate key for very cheap and have used the upgrade option and its rebooted etc and now full ultimate, one thing my home premium can i now just sell it on now.
