Has anyone any experience of selling phones to CEX? I've got 3 or 4 that are gathering dust and they are all boxed with chargers, headphones etc. Looking on the CEX site the prices don't seem too bad esp for the older stuff like a W902, W610 and W800i that I have.

Do they actually pay what it says. I've got a HTC Desire too what's that worth as they are offering £91?

Depends on the condition. If it's boxed with accessories, and the phone itself is in good condition, you should get at least the price they quote for "good" or B grade. If it's near enough perfect, you should get the full price.
Depends to a degree on the person examining it, I've had different prices quoted on different days for the same phone. They also rejected two phones I took there for problems they didn't actually have (crackling speaker) so as always YMMV.
Bear in mind they'll probably also be busy this time of year, the one in Derby is always very busy so I tend to drop things in for testing and come back a day or two later. They also hardly ever actually have enough cash to buy what I'm selling so I tend to give them notice, I think that's just the Derby store not being very good though.

OK, I'd say its all good or even mint. Have all the boxes, manuals, most chargers, datacables and headphones are still unused. Always used with cases and screen protectors. Am I best sending them off or going in store? If I go instore will they pay out immediately?

You should stand a good chance of getting the full price quoted then.
I'd probably go in store if you can, just makes things quicker. They quote 20 mins + charging time as the average testing time for phones IIRC, they always test things before they'll pay out. Assuming your local CEX actually has cash they'll pay out as soon as they've tested them, you may have to give them an hour or so, possibly more if they have a large testing queue. If not, as long as you keep the receipt they give you when they take the items you can go back any time up to 14 days later to get the cash.
If you've not sold to them before they'll take your details and give you a CEX card, you can't sell to them without that card. You might also need ID, I've not been asked for any since I signed up for the card but there's a sign saying they will need ID for any cash sales, so again it depends on the store I think.

I sold my HTC Desire on Mazuma about 3 months ago for £120. Price may have dropped since then, but worth trying them out.
Service was pretty good. Money Paid straight into bank account within a couple of days of sending them the phone.

I'm not aware of any issues with anything, they are just phones left after upgrades doing nothing. I'm just doing master resets, charging and checking for any stuff left on them before I pack them up.

Mazuma paying about £75 I think now for a Desire, the older stuff no one lists except maybe a fiver or take it for nothing.
