Semi random shut downs.

I had issues with my 670s a while back wheen they were running in PCIe 3.0 mode; try changing in BIOS to PCIe 2.0 and see how that helps you.

As mentioned prior motherboard only supports up to pcie2.0.

I'm slowly working through testing all my ram (I really have 16gb but only use 8 usually due to one set definitely having a faulty stick). One stick from each 8GB set passes 8 with 0 errors. Just testing the other two now... If they both error then I'll know the kit I was using had a faulty stick. Currently asking corsair about RMA'ing.

Sorry Op, missed that post :P

You'll be in good hands with Corsairs' customer service though, unless they've gone down the poo-pan since I last had to RMA something.

Aha. Yeah. I'm going to be double checking all my RAM (I'm really quite certain its a RAM issue since if it was cpu/gpu it would occur more often/under heavy load times which it doesn't it's just random!) to make sure. I know 1 of my 4 sticks is definitely dead. Just figuring out if the other one is also dead. :p May advanced RMA if it's possible.

Set to sort out an express RMA from corsair later today. (damn their offices being in PST but oh well) Still had a few random freezes but much less since I swapped to a different stick of RAM. I think that gives a conclusive result of dead/dying RAM being the cause of the issue :)
