I'll be building a system over Christmas based around a Sempron 64 (socket 754) and wondered if anyone had any experience of overclocking this chip.

The one I've got is a 3400+ (2.0Ghz) with a 10x multiplier.

I'd like to get 2.4Ghz (10 x 240) out of it and wondered if this was likely?

Thanks for replies :)

depends on motherboard, i can get my 3000+ (1.8ghz) to 2.6ghz stable

cant member exactly what i did but something like

(on a K8n-4e deluxe btw)

vCore - 1.5v
Multi - 9 (Top)
Drop ram to 133mhz (200mhz to start)
FSB up to 289mhz (wouldnt jump right there tbh)
vDimm upto 2.7v from 2.6v
Slacked all the timings off of the ram by 1clock

good luck, post results!
