Sempron le-1200 ideal for basic computer system?

Hi,i have been looking at reviews of cpu's that would be ideal for just a basic web browsing email based pc,i thought that the atom would be a good choice as its cheap and uses not much energy has no fan ect but i read on toms hardware that a sempron le-1200 (it actually uses the le-1100 as comparison but i presume the energy consumption is basically the same) uses the same energy at idle and is over 40% faster.

Does anyone else agree?Also i dont know what motherboard to get for the le-1200,i need something with integrated graphics but i dont know which one to buy,cheap is preferable,thanks.

I had the LE-1100, and it was fine for browsing and email.

As you've read, it's a very low energy/low cost chip that will do what you are asking of it just fine.

Re the motherboard, I was running one of these, just the cheapest integrated board I could find really;
