I thought I knew all the implications of doing this from your ISP -
eg
1) max recipients per email limits
2) emails per day limits
3) avoid obvious spam words like drugs
4) include coherant text
5) dont send to honey pot traps or emails that users will mark as spam
however a VERY expensive consultany has told a customer of mine that you cannot just send out 1000's ( in their case 200 0 - 4000 ) emails as they will get marked as spam by some of the big spam filters, and they must buy some expensive software to send this stuff out...
I know little for sure but assume a lot...
He is an no nothing thinking he knows a lot (I assume), and as long as you are aware of my 1 - 4 points there will not be an issue
My question is... Is he talking crap? as long as I dont break rule 1 to 4 i can send 10's of 1000's of emails?
