Sending 360 off to be repaired

Just got an email from microsoft with a link to a UPS shipping label and a receipt for my package after which it says to take it to a UPS drop off place or ask for a collection? I'm a bit confused tbh, i heard that they send you a box and everything to put your console in to ship, or not? My original box is a bit beat up now tbh, so i wouldn't really want to ship it off in that.

I feel like a right prat

but any help would be appreciated in explaining what to do/what actually happens.

you have to provide a box, they used to say dont use the original but i think thats changed now.

They still say dont use the original box as it wont be sent back to you. So you need to find a box to put the 360 in and then get them to pick it up. You could use the original box if you really wanted to but you wont get it back...you will get a plain white box with your 360 inside when it comes back.

You either take it to one of those locations or call up UPS to come pick it up.

Just the base console, no accessories (including the hard-drive). I'm just about to do the same thing, for the second time in 2 months. Grr...
