Hiya,

My W800i is officially borked, I dropped it on the carpet, yet It does not even turn on anymore or anything, after trying the usual battery, charger, etc etc nothing fixes it.
Silly, but there you go...

Question is;

I have my numbers backed up on my sim luckily, but I had copied them onto the phone also, along with a couple of texts that are still on there, and a picture or two.

Surely its against the law for them to read them or use the numbers?
Will they just delete everything off the phone without reading?

They are exchanging my phone so I wont get this same one back.

Unless it's a particularly compelling picture/number (e.g. pics/videos of Paris Hilton in yet more compromising postures, Madonna's direct phone number etc) I would imagine they would just hard reset the phone.

Theres just 1 video of me messing about, nothing rude, just about 2 seconds of me pulling faces (I was messing with videoDJ!).

To be fair, I dont know if they may be stored on the memory card instead of the phone!

A period of time ago, i worked as a mobile phone engineer. They 'Recycled' Old used/Faulty handsets. They pass a number of diffrent inspections as they pass through the line and one of the inspections on all the handsets is to check there are no videos and txts stored on the phone, they do this to determine the quickest way through the line, and to get the phone's out of the warehouse and back to the manufacturer for resale asap.

There was an area, @ the start of the line, where the phones had to be booked in. There was no need for the phone to be switched on at this point, however phones were and pictures were frequently passed down the line...I hope theres nothing too compelling on the phone !

I hope this helps a little.....
