Sending a PC case through Royal Mail

I'm going to be sending a PC case through Royal Mail shortly.

Would i be able to take the case into a Post Office or is a case considered to be too big an item to send from the PO. Would this mean Royal Mail doing a pick-up of the item?

Also, if anyone has sent a PC case before, how much does it generally (approx) cost to be sent by standard parcels?

I have, cost £8.74 afaik however parcels to go are the same price and they collect.

"You can send parcels up to 1.5 metres long and up to 20kg in weight
The combined length and girth of your item must not exceed 3m".

Prices can be found at the link i've supplied, and will be dependant on the weight of the case.

Without sounding stupid, a case's length and girth wouldn't exceed 3m would it? :confused:

Dimensions are 240 x 460 x 560.
