Sending back an xbox 360 for repair without the box

Hi guys

Can you send an xbox 360 back without having the box it came in. Mate needs to send one bac and hasnt got a box

If you don't have the original box they'll ask you to put it in some other box with sufficient packaging in it.

I just did this

Any suitable sized box + protective packaging Wish I'd taken pics of mine now

xbox wrapped in 2 carrier bags. Empty box. Exam essays from my mums work that needed shredding :>

2 buckets of shredding->xbox->1 bucket of shredding

I'm not going to be popular :E

They ask you not to send it in the original box.

When I sent mine they did Well, the guy said the original box or anything suitable if I didn't have the original, this was a long time ago though.

Edit: And in a galaxy far, far away...

I sent mine off today and they told me not to send it in the original box, must be a new policy.

does it have to have the original faceplate on the console aswell?
original asin the plain white or black one?

It's so that people can't see it's an Xbox360 instead, I believe it's for safety and insurance reasons with the couriers.
