Wonder if anyone can help me out with this as I can't fathom it!

As i'm moving house soon down west in a day's time, i've had to cancel my Virgin/NTL tv and broadband, but I get to keep the e-mail address till the 18th of June as that's when it will officially be cancelled. I'll be moving into temporary accomodation for a while (while we look for a house) so I've taken out one of Vodafone's 30 day contract things using their mobile broadband (which uses 3G when possible, 3.6mb/s - not bad! :)) which all seems ok so far.
One of my mates has said he can set up an e-mail Virgin/NTL account using one of his spare addresses or may even be able to register my current e-mail when it's cancelled which will save me a lot of mucking about.
The only problem I seem to have is even though I can receive e-mails (I think), I can't seem to send them. Outlook Express comes up with the error: "Unknown error, etc. etc., connection refused, server error 421, etc."

Anyone know if it's possible to get round this? It'd save a lot of time if I can stay with current e-mail for a while!

Thanks :D

Just solved it! Had to change the outgoing server from smtp.ntlworld.com to send.vodafone.net if anyone's interested! :D
