sending faulty controller back to Microsoft

there's something loose making a noise inside the controller, it's only a few weeks old so needs sorted

went on Microsofts xbox service centre site https://myservice.xbox.com/en-GB/pages/welcome.aspx

registered the XB1 then Replace Accessory, I've now got instructions on how to pack the controller with a free shipping label order no. etc and they will send a replacement once recieved

is that normal? - never filled out anything or was in contact with anyone to say what the actual problem was

I would have took it back to the shop you bought it from.
