Hi
what the best way to send files to friends over the net, i used to use messenger a long time ago but not many people use that anymore.

Yahoo mail has a 25mb limit on files.

Thanks

FTP - grab yourself some webspace.
https://my.freewhosting.com/aff.php?aff=014
(yes it's an affiliate link, I use the hosting and there's a referral scheme and my mate owns it)

Get a domain so you can control your emails properly - e.g. [email protected]
That way you know who's spamming you, and who they sold your address to.

The lowest hosting package gives you plenty of webspace to upload files to using FTP.
FileZilla FTP program: http://filezilla-project.org/

Then you can give your friend a link like www.mydomain.com/supersecrit/porn.wmv

mediafire.com
speedyshare.com
4shared.com

all these are good, cheap ways of sharing files. other option is to buy hosting as suggested, depends how much file sharing you do.

soulseek used to be good, not sure if it still exists

you could use limewire/frostwire or probably other p2p software. if you know the ip address, you can connect to another peer and view shared files, etc.
