Sending out my CV electronically (.doc or .pdf?)

I'm applying for jobs at the moment, but was just wondering whether i should send out my CV as a .doc or a .pdf? .doc seems the most obvious i guess, but then there are problems with it not looking the same all the time (especially when printed).

So - .doc or .pdf?

I sent it in both formats.

I got the job as well, although hopefully not down to my decisions on electronic formats

I used to go for .pdf to avoid problems with different versions of word, esp if you have got lines, indents etc. However after I had applied to a few places I printed off my .pdf for the first time and found that it printed at only about 85% of the size it should have been - dunno what caused the problem though.

I send mine in either a .doc or .rft format.

Have always sent mine in .doc format, don't really see the need to send it in another format.

I would risk sending a PDF.
