sending/receiving fax for free?

Just wondering if it's possible...I've seen various sites, but they all seem to ask for credit card details, even though they are meant to be free trials, I can't be bothered with them. Anyone know any sites?

If you have a modem and a phone line set up your faxing service from within your printers and faxes view. It'll just be the cost of the call.

Sorry...I don't have a fax machine, I heard it can be done through e-mail :confused:

You don't need a fax machine - you can use a modem connected to your PC to act as a fax machine.

Its what I do since I haven't owned a modem with fax capabilities since 2000.
