Senior Embedded Software and Hardware Engineer
Gatwick – Salary 55k + Healthcare

A small rapidly growing family company who specialise in the design and manufacture of products for the Television, Film and A/V Industries.
We have a position open for a Senior Software and Hardware design engineer. Successful Candidate will be working alongside the Development engineering staff and Managing Director in our R and D department.
Own transport is essential due to our location.
This candidate will have designed hardware platforms and written code on ‘Bare Metal’ projects.
They will have good debugging diagnostic skills and electronic fault finding. Comfortable taking the lead role in the design and ongoing development of a range of products. Experience in the video and RF.
We are a relatively small company, with a global reach. Our products are well known in our sector of the television market with a vast worldwide customer base.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Circuit and embedded code design
• Writing test procedures and hand over to production
• Tracking code version and controlling released code
• Liaising with customers for after sales support
• Onsite customer support
Required Skills & Expertise:
• Electronic, engineering or maths to degree level
• Previous programming experience in high-level languages C and C++ essential
• Protocol conversion
• Design experience with High speed interfaces in Gbps range – HiSpi, LVDS etc
• TCP/IP and Ethernet design experience.
• Experience in circuit design and fault diagnosis at component level.
• Ability to read engineering specifications and background knowledge in Broadcast TV standards
• Possible FPGA design in either VHDL or Verilog
• Possible experience with Altium Designer
• Good employment track record
