The Mod Mic I ordered turned up a few days ago in an excellent tube packaging with personalized message (see pics). I'm very impressed with the level of service received and the quality of the mic itself appears to be damned good!

I started this thread because I thought someone might be interested in my setup. I've married the Sennheiser HD25 1-ii's up with the Mod Mic and used the lost art of Cable Lacing to "stitch" the mic cable up with the headphone cable into one neat package. This is a fairly permanent setup, the Mod Mic can be removed from the magnetic clasp but thats about it unless I cut the Cable Lacing up. I used strong black cotton to lace the cables up so it's barely visible, but also doesn't add any bulk to the cables. You do get an epic length of cable with the Mod Mic, so much so that I have had to wrap the end up using the velcro strap (provided). This is quite useful and doesn't limit me to needing a microphone socket near the headphone socket

The aim was to stick both cables together without cutting/modding/breaking anything....I'd very much like the option of removing the mic if I ever needed to without destroying the cable to the HD25's or the mic.

A few useful links on Cable Lacing for those that don't know/remember what it is:

Mmm don't think the hd25s are great for gaming, which is using the assumption that you are using these for gaming.

I use them for a bit of everything really. Mostly use my actual speakers for gaming but sometimes it's nice to use a set of headphones, especially if my partner is watching something across the room. They are also excellent for Skype :)

I need one of these Antlion mics. I use my HD25 for music at work but the mic would double it up as a skype headset instead of using the crappy Logitech ones we have.

I love my HD25s. I use them for DJing and for mastering tracks. Because they are so great I have been using them for gaming as well and having a crappy Logitech headset on my desk to use as a mic but it's not working out well.

I really like what you have done but even though its going to cost me £100+ I think I'm going to go and buy a proper headset just so I don't need to keep moving my HD25s around from place to place.
