Sennheiser MX500 problem

I've got two pairs of MX500 earphones with the same problem occurring in each pair - after a few weeks of use the bass becomes very distorted in one ear bud, the problem disappears if the earphones are left unused for a few days.

Any ideas on the cause?

Not a clue but id recommend contacting sennheiser and seeing what explation they come up with

Problem solved

Bit of dirt had gotten inside the headphone jack socket.
