Sennheiser RMA service? Anyone used it?

Has anyone returned their headphones for repair? Mine are out of warranty now but they offer a fixed price repair service which I'm pretty tempted by. The headphones distort and crackle at AWP fire or something similar in cs for example.

Just wondering what any of your experiences were with the service itself and whether or not I'd just be wasting my time really!

Not yet but i would ask them what the cost to post back to you is as well as knowing the price of repair as they may do a hefty return postage cost.

Atm i have a pair of hd555s and within about 3 weeks of using them i have a crack on the left headband bit where u extend but on the cup bit. Tempted to return them but the 1st year warranty is with the retailer not sennheizer. And i duno if how to deal with it being amazon seller. Probs just gona wait and see if it develops a problem as in cracks the cup off the headset clean off or somit.
 
I was going to send a cable back for warranty but could not find the receipt so ended up buying another.

If my HD650s ever need servicing I am mighty tempted instead of buying something else/a totally new pair. I have a tiny hairline crack in the right side of the headband but it;s never got worse or presented a problem.
