The information you need is on pages 13, 14, 15 of the instruction manual which can be downloaded here: http://en-uk.sennheiser.com/rs-165

You should check what outputs your TV has. Its either going to be headphone out, rca out, or optical out. Or a combination. My TV has all three of them.

If your tv has an rca output you can simply use an rca to 3.5mm adapter. If its only optical output you will need to use an optical to analogue converter.

Edit: i just checked the specs of your tv and it has optical out and bluetooth. So you need an optical to rca converter or you need to get new headphones which are bluetooth or optical.

Weird PC if it doesn't have line out...
Don't even remember how long it's from when motherboards lacked integrated sound card.

As the TV has optical out, just grab a cheap SPDIF DAC. Plenty on the jungle site for around £10. That will give you RCA out which you can connect the RS165 base.

That is an option but really dont want clutter on the desk to get them workiing think ill try via the pc if not then ill take these back

They would want to be plugged into the line out socket on the back of your PC, the one with a light green surround.

Yep all sorted now thanks chaps. Got to say these sound fantastic for movies and the Bass is very good nice and clean watched Avengers age of ultron with them on for 10 minutes and they sounded great. Music they sounded great but not as good as they do for movies. Not really tested how far the signal goes but going from upstairs to the kitchen downstairs i did have a slight drop out but never went off. The advertised 30 metres is certainly wrong. Not been charged for the full 16 hours yet so im gonna test them more tonight. i have a few days with these to see if i like them my mate said i could take them back and get refund if they don't suit but up to now there very good. If they reach to the garden then i will be keeping if not then ill return which is why i got them

Range of wireless is always dependant on obstacles in signal path and what materials those are made of.
Like fair 1½m of cinderblock, concrete and rock being very good WLAN blocker...
Then if there's any metal in structures that's also bad thing for wireless.

Also transmitter antenna isn't necessarily omnidirectional so field might be weaker in other floors.
