Sensible man's all-rounder mouse?

Alas, my faithful Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 has finally succumbed to a recent battering of Deus Ex and Fable 3, and now that I'm seeking a replacement I've been forced to wonder: whatever happened to the moderately priced, normal sized, wireless optical mouse that was shaped for right handed use?*

Everything these days seems to be "mobile" (small), "notebook" (smaller), symmetrical (uncomfortable), "gaming" (expensive), a battery eating monstrosity, or some weird shape for people with 4 thumbs :(

Anyone able to recommend something akin to old faithful, within a sensible budget, please? Would really like...

1) Smooth scroll wheel (no clunk-clunk noises)

2) At least 3 months life per set of batteries. No rubbish charging docks: I'll just forget one night and have a dead mouse by next lunch time.

3) Proper man size that fits in your palm. I don't have particularly massive hands, but there's a lot of girly sized mice around that leave my little finger and thumb dragging on the desk.

4) 1+ side button(s) in a location that my thumb can actually press, but not where I'll be forever clicking by mistake.

5) Wireless! (I may have forgotten to mention this.)

Cheers for any thoughts!

* I'm not averse to left handed mice for left handed people and fully support making 2 versions of each model... but symmetrical mice are just horrible for everyone :(

The reality of the situation is that most mice that come out nowadays fit in the criteria of both being crap and expensive. You'd be better off going for another IME 3.0, although you won't get the wireless aspect there.

If on the other hand you're willing to accept a less than perfect tracking mouse, and paying more quite a bit more than an IME, then you'll be able to meet your 1-5 critera and Logitech (like the above poster suggested) are probably the people to go with.

£65 is a bit much for a mouse, tbh. I'd expect it to feature auto aiming for that price!

Kind of noticed this, I just can't figure out WHY they're all crap and expensive! The designers seem to be making random permutations to see what the market likes best, rather than employing a few people with different sized hands and making products that actually fit them...
