Just fancied a change. Above figure is what a dealer quoted me, which I thought was a bit much.

Reckon I would get bored with the lack of torque? Don't think there would be too many savings in it financially..

If you fancy a change then have a change. Changing one not quite great hot hatch for another not quite great hot hatch strikes me as pointless.

Keep the Mazda or buy something DIFFERENT.

Or...if you are that bothered about having to have a CTR, sell the Mazda and buy an EP3 or EK9.
