just wondering if anyone has got this, and if its any good?

demo was pretty cool IMO, is it as good as the past sensi's... or more importantly if you buy it, will it be something that can keep you coming back for more?

also anyone know of any modsites etc for the pc version, the demo had names like Owan and Roonay etc... in it. would be nice if they were all real :p

cheers

Well i played the demo on 512 mb and in 800x600 it ran well fast. Since then, i got the full version and 1Gig of RAM and on the same resolution, it is soooo much slower

Its the same as the demo for me.

Im playing on 1360X768 no slow down for me. You still have the some magnetic goalies.

One problem i dont think you can change the difficulty level. The only way is to play with a poor team.

There are loads of competitons to play to unlock different pitches etc.

Does it have official licensing? I.e. has it got real player names/kits or we got fake names like Beckcham and Ronney etc? That puts me right off any footie game!

Just saw a screenshot and it was England 1 - 0 Argintina, and our goalscorer was Owan apparently... so thats answered my question above :)

shame!

I was told it's got the same kinda editing feature as the original SWOS though, so it shouldnt be hard to edit them all or download a patch to do it for you eventually.

didnt think of that, bound to be a patch created by someone to fix this at somepoint.

I'll keep an eye for a patch if it does happen, then i might get myself a copy :)

I really don't think this is worth getting... The keeping is just stupid. I curled one from just outside the box to the top right hand corner and it was going in... Then the ball managed to teleport to the goalies hands and away it went.

It's happening too much now, the keeper AI is just awful.

that's how it always used to be! there were a couple of tried and tested methods of scoring and that was about it. take it straight down the middle and curl it in either corner from just outside the D or shoot from about 30 - 40 yards on the diagonal and go for the top corner.

i've not played the demo but the game is top of my list of gaems to get. an all time classic is sensi IMHO.

just a bit of a bump...

Yes and yes.

It's proper Sensi. Loving the old school-ness of it, 3 buttons, kick, pass and sprint. I just started a league with Stoke in the Championship, it's quite easy but the teams seem to be well weighted...

For instance i whooped Crewe 3-0 but then struggled to beat Watford and eventually scored a cracking sliding-in shot to win the game 3-2.

I havent spotted any of this 'goalie-magnetism' that i witnessed in the demo and it runs nice and fast.

I haven't played it 2 player yet, will do as soon as i get the chance though, i think that's where this game will really shine as anybody can pick it up and play, drunk or not. ;)

Edit: Oh yeah, i use a PS2 pad adapter by the way, so i dont know what its like with a keyboard.

It's OK with the keyboard, apart from the occasional beep and no response when I press too many keys together :(

On the official forums theres a link to a patch with the real player names etc, and also a new View.ini to recreate the classic sensi camera.

Niiiiice!

I'll check that out when i get home, it's blocked at work. :(

I personally think its rubbish the original is much better..

No career option is ridiculous as this was my favourite bit and the magnetic keeper is just ridiculous.

The ball sticks to your feet and every time you try and run past a defender he knocks you and himself over resulting in some frustrating stuff... the passing is just rubbish and the only real way to pass is using the shoot button to hoof it up to the attack.. heading is also a no go..

The big heads... I mean why? It's like a very bad console game the only thing thats okay about it is that its at least a little quick.. its obviously an attempt at a quick cash in on a good name at the World Cup but its very poor...

Theres also no original team or player names in there - again this was a massive attraction in the original SWoS and no doubt people will change it and offer it for download but it should be there..

Eek forgot to mention theres no net play available - if you want two players then you have to use the same PC... sigh...
