Got that itch again! Current specs are as per sig, however stuff is on the horizon.
I was considering replacing the 670 with a 970 purely for the fps and vram increase due to flight simming, am I getting value for money on that upgrade? The 670 was bought in June 2012 and has never skipped a beat however I find myself turning down setting in-game more and more often these days.
However while thinking about this I was wondering if I could get more from my motherboard? I only went for a budget option when I did the first build and although the i7 is still great is there a better option out there? Seems to be a massive lack of socket 1155 boards out there now due to it being old.
Was also going to buy a new case at the same time hence the MB question, I'm not really happy to upgrade the i7 while its still doing a good job.
Really is there an opinion that on either of these options I would be wasting money? Does a new MB really make any difference?
